The newest speculation involving Oscar's career is shocking. Named to be the most expensive hiring in the history of Chinese football for the Shanghai SIPG, the Brazilian has his days at Chelsea. What's more, if this really happens, he can say goodbye to his best years in football.

Although in the long term the Chinese soccer can represent some prestige, the truth is that at the moment the clubs of there are still being structured and the dispute is very poor. Even if these great stars of the planet consolidate the championship in the next decade, deciding to play in China nowadays is a much more financial choice than sports. Because it is easy to explain in this way the fact of being left out of the Libertadores or the Champions League to play a League that is not yet popular around the world and that leads to a continental competition that soon will be unbalanced because of the high and exclusive Investment in China.

Oscar may be (let's try, as a hypothesis) one of these players who leaves competitiveness aside in the biggest league on the planet in which his club leads, to achieve his financial freedom. Even this argument still seems bizarre, since he receives a high salary for the Blues. If even winning well the athlete chooses to play in a market that pays him more, it is natural that we interpret that money talks much more than the career opportunities. Just remember that Oscar is not a young man in search of recognition, but rather a consolidated player with a presence in the World Cup as a starter.

It is natural that Oscar seeks a new space in his career, since he is not so prestigious with Antonio Conte. But the bullshit is not waiting for a proposal from another European club that certainly would have a great boost. It is also true that good technicians are going to China, like Manuel Pellegrini and André Villas-Boas (Shanghai SIPG coach), but that alone does not justify a stampede of players there.

Do not fall for this "sports development project in China" because the bid is and will always be the big truck involved in these negotiations. On the other hand, we have a new outdated trend in sport. The idealism is behind, the love of the shirt is in extinction and the last great idols are saying goodbye. Apparently, the passion is losing ugly for the money and the tendency is that this will become rule in the future, football as a side of the market that ignores the emotions of the fans and aims only profit. The player is a fundamental part of this, as it benefits from marketing actions, advertising campaigns and other millionaire contracts. It is no longer a matter of interest, it is profitability.

When you only talked about Oscar at Juventus, maybe football gave hope to those who still believe that the will to win or to be in a big club carries more weight in a transfer decision. However, we are talking about months ago, not decades. Imagine then going back to the 1980s, when our great Brazilian stars did not even leave the country to try to "evolve" out there, a fallacy less and less credible compared to the big eye for high wages. Yes, these times seem like a delirium compared to the present day.

If we assume everything is a matter of who pays more, maybe everything will be more peaceful. It is hard to deal with the hypocrisy and half-truths of gamblers who hug lots of money and declare themselves to be club x or y fans, who "would never leave that wonderful crowd" or who "would not play for any other team but that" Only for months after being presented in a rival, erasing a whole constructed history. The biggest problem here is not motivation. It's transparency.
