Liverpool is willing to pay $ 104 million for Luan, newspaper says
Midfielder Luan of Grêmio can leave Rio Grande do Sul for European football. The 24-year-old athlete is interested in Liverpool, a team headed by German Jurgen Klopp, who would be willing to pay 26 million pounds (US $ 104 million) for the Brazilian, according to the Mirror newspaper.
The British say negotiations began about a year ago and that the contractual terms would be close to being sealed. Klopp, according to the newspaper, sees Luan as "new Ronaldinho" and believes that the player can play alongside other Brazilians who are in the club: Roberto Firmino, Lucas (also former Grêmio) and Philippe Coutinho.
The publication also recalls that the gremista was Olympic champion with the Brazilian team in 2016, winning the gold with victory over Germany in the decision. He began as a reserve, but gained space throughout the campaign, with good performances.
The fact that Luan only has one more year of contract with the Grêmio can help the English, since the tricolor club could choose to make box with the attacking midfielder, instead of running the risk of losing it for free at the end of the contract agreement. The value reported by the Mirror would make the business the biggest sale in the history of the gaucho team.

Joia do Monaco is top priority for Real Madrid, according to Spanish newspapers
Featured in the Monaco standings for the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Mbappé has become Real Madrid's top priority for the next transfer window, according to Spanish newspapers. The 18-year-old French striker has been enchanting Europe with excellent performances and should only change clubs if a huge sum of money is disbursed.
Author of one of the goals of Monaco's 3-1 win over Manchester City in the Champions League Round of 16 game, Mbappé was compared by As with Ronaldo, who made history with Real Madrid's 9 shirt And also with Thierry Henry, his compatriot. The young promise already has 19 goals this season.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez would also have landed in Monaco to closely follow the young French promise in the showdown against Manchester City. In the cover of this Wednesday, the newspaper As also reveals that an English club would have offered 110 million euros, equivalent to R $ 367 million, to acquire the player.
At 18, Mbappé is about to make his debut with the shirt of the French national team. He is preparing for the FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Luxembourg away from home on Saturday and also for the friendly against Spain in Saint-Dennis next Tuesday.
With no possibility of transferring to a European giant before the end of the current season, Mbappé must star in one of the main novels of the next transfer window. For now, he will have the mission to take Monaco back to a Champions League final, something that has not happened since 2004, when the principality team lost the decision to Porto, then trained by José Mourinho.

US-Canada-Mexico candidacy for 2026 Cup is possible, says leader
Football officials from the United States, Canada and Mexico are due to meet next year to discuss the possibility of a joint bid to host the 2026 World Cup, CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani said on Wednesday.
Fifa confirmed in October that it will accept joint candidacies for the 2026 tournament, without any restriction on the number of countries in the same proposal.
"It's obviously a possibility," Montagliani told Reuters on the sidelines of a sports conference in Dubai. "We are fully aware that each country could probably organize on its own."
CONCACAF is the body responsible for football in North and Central America and the Caribbean.
In the event of a victory, it would be the first time the World Cup has been held in a Concacaf country since the 1994 World Cup in the United States, and the first in more than one country since the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea .
"It's time to go back," said Montagliani, adding that Concacaf "absolutely" expects the 2026 tournament to be hosted by one of its 41 members.
The 2026 Cup may also be the first with an increase in the number of participants from 32 to 48 if the proposal advocated by FIFA president Gianni Infantino is approved.
